Well-known record producer, rapper and entrepreneur, Dr. Dre, knows the music business well. In fact, he has established himself as one of the highest paid moguls in the hip hop industry with a worth of more than $500 million. Recently, he stepped up his efforts to take care of his health, and he lost 50 pounds. He was also able to lower his blood pressure.

How did he do it? Dr. Dre attributes two changes in his life that made a huge difference in not only his appearance but, more importantly, his overall health. One change was to eat healthier. The other change was exercise. Dre credits his cardiovascular exercise routine for helping him lost fat quickly and build muscle and strength. His workout routine Dre’s exercise routine consists of pull-ups, squats, dead lifts, bicep curls, bench presses, tricep push downs and dips. Although he hired a personal trainer to help him get started, these are exercises one would observe in any gym. The key is to get up, get started, and keep going for better health. The type of exercise routine he uses builds well-defined muscles and burns fat at the same time. A 49-year old with the body of a 31-year old Dr. Dre is 49 years old, but he says he feels like 31. He says, “I’ve actually had tests on my body, and the doctor said I’m 31, so I’m riding with that!” He likes the way he looks, but he also points out how much better his health is, too. “I’m definitely healthier now. That has a big part to do with it, just staying healthy. It definitely keeps your confidence up,” stated Dre. Warren G on board too! Recently Dr. Dre also convinced his brother, rapper and producer Warren G, to follow his example. Since high blood pressure runs in their family, they are now both getting trim and fit and staying healthier by exercising and changing their diet.
